This week, Level Up was excited to co-lead a virtual Ansible® Security Automation workshop, alongside Christopher Hindman, Partner Ecosystem Solutions Architect at Red Hat®.
Why use Ansible for Security and Compliance Automation? Because it’s a simple yet powerful way to automate IT– especially when using Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform (AAP), from which today’s organizations are seeing massive ROI, while driving complexity out of their environments and accelerating their DevSecOps initiatives.
In working through the learning modules, attendees experienced firsthand how everyone from Security Operators to Security Analysts and CISO’s are able to automate their tasks and realtime reporting with Ansible and AAP, by executing playbooks on Linux and Windows nodes, as well as network security appliances.
By the end of this half-day workshop, attendees had gone from writing their first Ansible infrastructure code playbooks to orchestrating fairly complex security use case scenarios, including investigation enrichment, threat hunting, and incident response.
