Collaboration
Build What's Next on Google Cloud
Level Up is currently expanding its Google Cloud consulting practice. We're interested in connecting with experienced cloud architects and engineers who enjoy solving complex enterprise problems, working directly with clients, and building reliable systems.
We work with professionals across architecture, infrastructure, platform engineering, data, security, and AI.
This page describes the senior and principal Google Cloud architects and engineers we want to work with. It is a standing profile for both technical recruiters and practitioners. It is not a job requisition, and it does not list any specific current openings, locations, or compensation bands.
The GCP delivery services team we're scaling
An ideal profile is a senior or principal Google Cloud architect who has already delivered production systems and who can be embedded in a client environment while the client's vision is still a work in progress.
- Significant hands-on experience architecting and delivering production systems on Google Cloud.
- Strong command of GCP networking, IAM, compute, storage, security, and cloud architecture.
- Experience with enterprise migrations, modernization, and hybrid environments.
- Infrastructure as Code expertise, particularly Terraform and Ansible.
- Familiarity with Kubernetes, GKE, CI/CD, observability, and operational automation.
- Ability to lead customer discovery, explain tradeoffs, design architectures, and contribute to technical statements of work.
- Experience translating ambiguous business requirements into implementable technical plans.
- Comfort working independently and collaborating with distributed delivery teams.
- Strong documentation and technical communication.
Certifications
Google Cloud professional certifications are useful evidence of expertise. Demonstrated delivery and customer-facing judgment matter at least as much. No one is expected to hold every certification on this list.
- Professional Cloud Architect
- Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer
- Professional Cloud Network Engineer
- Professional Cloud Security Engineer
- Professional Data Engineer
- Professional Machine Learning Engineer
Areas of specialization
An architect does not need to cover the whole platform to be successful with us. Depth in one or two of these areas, with enough breadth to work beside the others, is the profile we look for.
- Infrastructure & Migration
- Platform Engineering & GKE
- Data & Analytics
- AI/ML & Agentic Systems
- Security & Networking
- DevOps & Automation
Ways to collaborate
Level Up is building a flexible network of experienced technical professionals.
- Project-based consulting.
- Independent consulting and subcontracting opportunities.
- Ongoing strategic executive and technical advisory relationships.
- Longer-term opportunities as our Google Cloud practice continues to grow.
What makes Level Up different
- An established enterprise consulting practice, with existing work across infrastructure automation and platform engineering.
- Direct access to senior technical leadership on the engagements you join.
- Practical engineering, with process limited to what the delivery needs.
- Customer architecture and implementation problems across commercial and public sector accounts.
- Work that spans infrastructure, automation, and AI, depending on the engagement.
- A growing Google Cloud practice where experienced people can shape how the work is delivered.
The client-facing practice is described on the Google Cloud page and in the services catalog.
